Was
born and raised on the prairies of Alberta, Canada. It was a magical place in
the middle of nowhere when I was 10... by the time I was 18... it was the middle
of nowhere HELL! I graduated from high
school,
university admission in hand…. my gift from my parents...
a set of luggage. I guess that was a
hint! I honestly thought I was an easy child... I
started my life and school in Halifax, Nova Scotia... almost as far east you
can get in Canada! (Of course a point
nearly the furthest from where I grew up!)
I don’t recall much of the early years... I think all the lobster went
to my head! I graduated from Dalhousie
University... Diploma in Engineering.. minor in Architecture. Even though the
east coast was quaint and beautiful.. it wasn’t enough for this young vibrant
soul to spread her wings... so... |

I moved to Montreal,
Quebec... the slice of Europe in the New World. It was like shell shock... a cultural
blender rivalled only by New York.
There I attended Concordia University and continued my studies,
graduating with a BFA in Design. I thoroughly
enjoyed my time in Montreal... it gave me the courage to venture further.... So.. I headed south, the stories of the
land of milk and honey
whirring in my brain... and for the last 13 years I have
travelled, experienced, lived, loved, many people and points on the map, but always to call the
Puget Sound my hub of operations. My art
may not have had a chance to be front and center all the time, but it has
been growing, developing.. perhaps even fermenting within my soul and spirit. All that my art embodies now
is a cummulative slurry pot of but a small portion of my lifetime... |
