“The 2009 Lowellife Prom” Fundraiser

 Prospectus/Submission Form

It's prom season, so of course there's no better way to celebrate our growth than with a classic rite of passage …our inaugural fundraiser, The 2009 Lowellife Prom!

This year's theme:  "Lowell, Lowell, Lowell, It's Magic!"

Wear your old tux, your formal gown, pile that bouffant, pin on the corsages, or just come take pictures like Mom and Dad did!  Classic prom photo backdrop for your yearbook memories, and photo ops will abound!

Lowell Art Works is ready to increase the magic; we're approaching our transformation to non-profit status, our building is full to bursting, we've just arranged our own classroom space, and our shows bring us more and more new friends every month!  The air here is electric, and the buzz is definitely spreading!

Our precious artist friends all speak as one about the exciting atmosphere they feel here, and we are so incredibly grateful to all of them for creating that with us, and sharing that fervor with other artists they know.

And now we're ready to take the next steps, to ensure this magic continues to grow and to inspire people, not just our own residents and artist friends but everyone we can, whether they are familiar and comfortable with the art world, or have never considered art as something they could include in their lives.

Our friends at the City of Everett Cultural Arts Commission and the Greater Everett Community Foundation have rallied behind us, and have encouraged us in our growth with our very first grant!  But we must do our part as well, and raise funds to match.  This is where we need a little help from our friends.

We are asking our artist friends to each donate one piece of their work, valued at approximately $100.   Each piece will be priced at a flat $100, with 20% to the artist.

Thanks so much to all of you, for giving of yourselves so openly and generously, not just for this event, but for supporting us and believing in us as we've invented, shaped and defined ourselves over the past 2 ½ years.  We are so fortunate to have such a loving and inspiring extended family, and we hope to support and encourage you all as well in the years to come.

Most gratefully and sincerely yours,

Jules Anslow
